1. Download the ‘alien’ nonsense words. Use this to recap the ue (long oo), ue (u) and ew (long oo) graphemes. Explain that these words are not real and that they rely on our phonics knowledge to read them rather than our memory.

2. Download the word searches. Children to complete at least 2.
