We have begun a new genre this week on Non-chronological reports. These are information texts that do not go in time order.

 

We have found facts from various websites and videos about lions and we have also analysed a model text which is a good example of a non-chronological report (the model text is attached below if you have not seen in before).

 

Today's lesson

Learning intention: To understand what subheadings are.

Please read the PowerPoint first and then follow on from this by reading the below facts.

 

Your task is to either print the facts and the subheadings out from the sheet above and match up the facts to the correct subheading or you can write the subheadings onto a piece of paper (leaving a large gap between each one) and then write up the facts that match each subheading.
