Swimming

In Year 4, children take part in swimming lessons as part of their statutory PE curriculum. Each child completes a set of swimming sessions spread across the year. These sessions include working towards a range of aquatic awards, water safety and life saving skills. Swimming takes place at The Arc in Clowne on Friday afternoons. 

Unfortunately, due to Covid 19, swimming sessions will not commence until later on in the school year. We will give information and dates out when we know more. 

Children need to make sure they have:

• Swimming shorts or trunks for boys 
• Swimming costume for girls
• Goggles
• Towel

Children must remove earrings and jewellery for all sessions.

We advise that any children wanting to get their ears pierced do so plenty of time ahead of lessons as they will not be permitted to swim.
