Reading

This week we are focusing on chapter 11. You should have read this yesterday, but if you didn't, go ahead and read it now before the task.

Today, our skill in focus is predicting. Predicting is where we use our knowledge of what has happened already and use this to make sensible guesses of what will happen next. Watch the video below to know more about predicting.

Task:

By the end of chapter 11, there are lots of visitors to the farm and the Zuckerman’s aren’t looking after their farm anymore. In your own words, carry on the story with what happens next. You could use one of the following sentence starters to help you;

  • Wilbur couldn’t believe all the attention he was getting and he felt…

  • Mrs Zuckerman spent all day showing people around the farm…

  • Fern tried to sneak onto the farm early before all the visitors arrived but…

Write a paragraph that continues the story. You can include events that happen and feelings of the characters. You could use speech too if you wish.

Maths

Today we are starting our new maths unit on fractions. Please watch the video and have a go at the worksheet.
