Clowne Junior School

Working together for success and happiness

Welcome

I am absolutely thrilled as Headteacher to introduce you to Clowne Junior School’s website which should give you a flavour of all the wonderful things that our children experience here. It is a fantastic school, serving the community of Clowne and surrounding areas.

Our school was built in the 1980s when schools were open-plan.  Over time, the school has been modernised, had extensions and additional buildings created and most recently had significant work done to create more enclosed learning spaces. We currently have around 340 children on roll in school.

I am proud every day of what we achieve alongside our lovely children. Clowne Junior is extremely special and well-loved by its children, staff and parents. All of the varying aspects of school life give us a ‘uniqueness’ as a school, which will certainly help us to stand out for all the right reasons. We seek to provide a top-quality education, working together for the success and happiness of our children.

The thing that makes our school most special is the children. They are warm, welcoming and aspirational. They love to learn and show a fabulous attitude to school life, turning up with a smile each day for others. It is a lovely place to be each day.

We strive to prepare all of our children for the next stage of their education and the world of work. In a society which is increasingly divided and isolated, we value strongly our role within the community to develop our pupils’ sense of responsibility, belonging and respect.

If you would like to come & have a look to see what Clowne Junior School can offer your child through a place at our school, then please give us a call – we look forward to hearing from you!

'Working together for success and happiness.'.

Warm regards
