General Information

Year 5 is an exciting year in school - it is the first step into 'upper-school' and is a point where the children are encouraged to show greater independence and self-direction with regards to their learning and behaviour.

 

During the year, the children will participate in a range of enrichment activities which will help develop their capacity to work cooperatively, think creatively and critically and, crucially, helps them recognise that hard work brings about success.

 

We have lots of fun in Year 5 and teachers plan a wide range of activities designed to engage the children fully in their learning journey. We try to make learning relevant so that they are all able to see how what they do in school now will enable them to become happy, productive citizens as they enter adulthood.
