Yesterday you read through chapter 10. Today we are going to be summarizing the events in this chapter. You may need to keep referring back to the text to help you. If you made any notes, these will be very helpful too!
Remember, summarizing is where we think about the main events or most important events that take place. Watch the video to remind you of the key skills for summarizing.
The summary task today is to think about what Avery and Fern get up to during the first part of the chapter. You will then draw three images with captions to summarise what they get up to. Then, you will be summarizing, in your own words what happens in the barn and what 'the explosion' is. There is a sheet below to use.
