This term, we are going to be starting a new topic called Around Tokyo in 65 Days. This topic is based around the Olympic games which will be taking place in Tokyo.
Lesson one is our excite lesson which we use to introduce us to a new topic. This lesson is based around the 5 Olympic rings and what they represent. The Olympic flag has a white background, with five interlaced rings in the centre: blue, yellow, black, green and red. This design is symbolic; it represents the five continents of the world, united by Olympism, while the six colours are those that appear on all the national flags of the world at the present time.
We would also like you to design your own avatar to be used to represent a sport in the Olympic games. Olympic games tend to use avatars to reach out to their younger audience as toddlers and children like cartoon characters.
Please see the PowerPoint for the information and the tasks we would like you to complete for this lesson.
