Excite activity day

We’ve had an incredibly exciting start to our new history topic, A Blast from the Past, where we’re travelling through time to explore the Ancient Egyptians, the Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.

The children became archaeologists for the day. They took part in a hands‑on dig, uncovering primary and secondary artefacts and debating whether each item might have come from Ancient Egyptian times or the Stone Age. Their curiosity was fantastic and they showed brilliant thinking as they discussed how archaeology helps us understand the past and what these artefacts can reveal about the people who used them.
