Pupil Leadership Activities
PlayMakers
This year, twenty of our enthusiastic Year 6 pupils have taken part in the PlayMaker Award, a nationally recognised sports leadership course designed to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.
As part of the programme, our pupils underwent dedicated training where they learned how to plan, organise, and deliver fun, active sessions for younger children. They explored key leadership qualities such as communication, encouragement, and responsibility.

Since completing their training, our PlayMakers have been busy putting their new skills into action. Every lunchtime, they run a variety of playground activities and games, helping to keep our younger pupils active, engaged, and having fun.
To motivate their continued commitment, pupils can earn house points by completing leadership challenges throughout the term—whether it’s taking on the challenge themselves, supporting others to take part, or showing initiative during their sessions.
