LI - Recognise a wider range of feelings in others and how to respond appropriately

Sesame Street: Seth Rogen: Embarrassed - YouTube

(Yes it’s Sesame Street but it’s Seth Rogan!)

Discuss the clip.

Why was Seth embarrassed?

What thoughts were going through his head when he realised the cheese was on his head? (I look so silly, people are laughing at me, people will talk about me etc)

What physical sensations do we feel when we feel when we are embarrassed?

Make notes of when you have been embarrassed or if you can think of any embarrassing moments in books and films.

TASK

Draw a cartoon of Seth with cheese on his head. On one side of the cartoon they write down what he might be thinking on the other side they write down the physical sensations an embarrassed person may feel (sweaty palms, red race etc)

Work through the PowerPoint.

Write down the top tips for dealing with embarrassment.
