Working together for success and happiness

Thursday

Edgar Allan Poe-The Raven- Read by James Earl Jones

Jabberwocky By Lewis Carroll - Read by Benedict Cumberbatch

L.I: to write and edit a narrative poem.

Watch the narrative poems on the videos above: The Raven and The Jabberwocky.

Think about your poems structured in yesterday's lesson. Today, you will be editing, improving and writing out your narrative poems.  Edit and improve your poems before writing a final version by reading aloud to check for rhythm, missing punctuation, spelling errors and in some cases rhyme.

Write up your poem. (you could do this on a tea-stained piece of paper to look like an aged scroll)

Then, practise, rehearse and perform your poem, concentrate on the rhythm and flow, just like in the videos above.
