Clowne Junior School

Working together for success and happiness

School Council

Our School Council acts as a voice for their peers. Councillors are elected through a democratic voting system; any pupil wanting to become a councilor must prepare and present their manifesto to their year group who will then cast their vote in a ballot booth.
The elected school council half termly and run initiatives across school such as improving our Healthy Tuck Shop, planning charity days, school fundraisers and other school activities . Councillors also have suggestion boxes in their year groups and ask their peers for suggestions as to how our school environment could be improved - these are consequently discussed at our meetings.
